Ann Le is a Southern California native and an MFA candidate at California State University Long Beach with an emphasis in photography. She is fascinated by the ever-engaging memory in the midst of the present, and correlates the artificial with her remembrances of family drama, alongside her ethnicity and culture. Sentiment is a vital tone in her work; she pulls intimate experiences from her life and others to construct levying art. Her current body of work focuses on patterns and emphasizes her construction from a re-imagined moment. The designs created vary from genuine events spoken by her mother during her family’s mandatory evacuation, as well as researched events that occurred during the Vietnam War. The designs are her interpretations of those specific trials. Currently she works as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Arts at Loyola Marymount University and resides in Los Angeles.
