Carolyn grew up in Lake Wales, Florida on a cattle and citrus ranch, where she spent much of her time immersed in various art projects. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Architecture in 2006, she spent the next two and a half years working at an architecture firm in St. Louis. Though she had known how to sew for a long time, it wasn’t until 2009 that Carolyn learned to quilt, and she has pursued it passionately ever since. As a young quilter with a design school background, she was drawn to bright and bold fabrics and saw a need for fresh, modern patterns. Thus, she began to create her own patterns. Most recently, she has forged new creative opportunities for surface design by developing a line of art quilt stamps. She has been honored to receive recognition for her quilting at local and national shows and has designs published in Stitch and American Quilt Retailer. Check out her website here!
