Future Plan for The Printed Bolt

We’ve had a great time hosting REPEAT.  Watching the designers create and keeping the blog rolling has become a comfortable rhythm the last few months.  The plan for the coming months is to center our focus on several different areas, one per week across a month.  Like:

Week One: FINDS

During the first week of this rotation (this week) we’ll showcase our “finds” of the moment.  This week, in honor of one of our favorite challenges, the flea market challenge, we’ll share some stellar flea market finds…

Books.  There’s a ton of them out there on quilting, sewing, fabric, and crafts.  We are on the lookout for the best of the best.  Next week, we’ll share some!

There is some sort of correlation between people who make and people who share via blog.  The inspiration online is tremendous, almost daunting.  There’s the stock favorite blogs and websites, but sometimes we forget to venture from our favorites.  We are challenging ourselves to look outside our usual internet path to find new faves.

We are about to be inundated with awesome fabric from REPEAT.  We’ll share what we’re making, but save a few surprises for Quilt Market with Michele!

In a few months…

The big question is if we are hosting another fabric design competition, and the answer is YES!  Round Two, also known as REPEAT(ed), is in the works, and over the next few months we’ll be sharing the details.  So, spread the word!  If you are a super talented, awesome, fun surface designer, keep REPEAT(ed) in mind!
